Australia's opening batsman Chris Rogers has confirmed that he will retire from Test cricket following the fifth Ashes Test at the Oval.
The 37-year-old, who made his Test debut against India in 2008, had hinted prior to the series that he would be hanging up his Baggy Green at the end of the summer.
In an announcement at the tourists' London hotel, Rogers said: "I have had an amazing couple of years playing for Australia and enjoyed it and been part of some pretty special things, but everything comes to an end.
"You are never 100% sure, but I felt like [Thursday's Test at the Oval] was the last one. There's been a few things, particularly the head issues lately, so I'm quite happy to call it a day.
"It's time for Australian cricket to make a few changes and bring in a few new guys, a few fresh faces. It's going to be a challenging time, particularly for the new guys but that's part of it."
Captain Michael Clarke will also be playing his final Test at The Oval, having announced his retirement after England secured the series win at Trent Bridge.
