The 52-year-old is said to have suffered a heart attack, and authorities released a statement on Monday to say that an autopsy had revealed that Warne had died of 'natural causes'.
Thai deputy national police spokesman Kissana Phathanacharoen also confirmed that Warne's body would now be transferred to Australia in due course.
Over the weekend, it was also revealed that Warne's family had accepted the offer of a state funeral, which will be held in Victoria.
Furthermore, a stand at the Melbourne Cricket Ground is also expected to be renamed in the leg-spin bowler's honour.
