Fifties from Alastair Cook and Ravi Bopara steered England to a seven-wicket victory over Australia at Old Trafford and saw them complete a 4-0 series win over the tourists.
Needing a revised target of 138 from 29 overs, the Essex duo stabilised the England innings after the early dismissals of Ian Bell and Jonathan Trott.
Cook was the first to bring up his half-century with a typically measured knock but was dismissed by Ben Hilfenhaus for 58, with just 12 runs more required.
County teammate Bopara then reached a more explosive fifty before he and Eoin Morgan went on to see England home with eleven balls to spare.
Bopara had earlier starred with the ball as he and James Tredwell each took two wickets to restrict Australia to 145 from 32 overs.
That total was largely thanks to an unbeaten 46 from George Bailey, who smashed three fours and two maximums to help the Aussies to a competitive total.
Bopara was named man of the match for his all-round display, which could earn him a recall for the upcoming Test series against South Africa.
