Australia have piled the pressure on opponents India in the final Test in Sydney by ending day two on 572-7.
Aussie skipper Steve Smith recorded his fourth century of the series earlier in the day to rack up the runs for his side, before being sent packing for 117.
Having reached tea at 538-5, Joe Burns and Brad Haddins (9*) returned to the crease for the final session, with the former being well caught by Rahul Sharma in the deep for 58 off 114 balls.
Ryan Harris added 25 off nine balls before Australia declared, which allowed India to begin their reply. It was tough going for the tourists at the Sydney Cricket Ground as they took 71-1, with in-form opener Murali Vijay being lost for a duck on the third ball to left-arm paceman Mitchell Starc.
Lokesh Rahul (31) and Rohit Sharma (40) ended the session intact, meanwhile, and will look to close down Australia's heavy total when play resumes tonight.
