England captain Alastair Cook has heaped praise on James Anderson following a dramatic victory over Australia in the first Ashes Test at Trent Bridge.
Anderson took all four wickets on the final day as the Aussies fell 14 runs short of victory.
That saw the bowler end the match with figures of 10-158 as the hosts took a 1-0 lead in the series.
"Jimmy was outstanding and always wants one extra over," Cook told Sky Sports News.
"We are not overly reliant on him - he is a world-class bowler and we use him when we need him.
"Finny (Steven Finn) and Broady (Stuart Broad) have been great bowlers for us too but it was Jimmy's day today."
The second Test starts on Thursday at Lord's.
