Joe Root has insisted that England are striving for "perfection" in The Ashes against Australia.
The Three Lions took a 1-0 lead in the series with a 169-run victory at Sophia Gardens inside four days.
However, the 24-year-old says that he and his teammates can improve the level of their performances over the course of the summer.
Root told Sky Sports News: "Cardiff was incredibly special for us and now everyone is looking forward to going again at Lord's.
"You could say we put in a complete performance at the SSE SWALEC, but we are always striving for perfection and so there are still little areas we want to tweak and improve.
"That said, as far as Test wins go it was right up there."
The second Test begins at Lord's later today.
