England's Alex Hales has revealed that he would "love" to score his maiden one-day international century at Trent Bridge tomorrow.
The 26-year-old came close to reaching that milestone on his home ground during a Twenty20 clash against the West Indies in 2012 when he was bowled out for 99.
However, ahead of the fourth ODI against New Zealand, the Nottinghamshire opener has conceded that "it would be a dream come true" if he were able to reach three figures at the 14th time of asking.
"It would be a dream come true. Playing an ODI at your home ground, I came close a few years ago in a Twenty20 and getting 99 and then getting bowled in one of the last overs. I'd love to get that milestone. It would be a very, very good day for me," Hales told the ECB's official website.
In the series against the Kiwis so far, Hales has scored 97 runs in three innings.
