Australia set England a total of 252 runs to clinch victory from the one-day international between the two sides at the Oval.

Australia have set England a total of 252 to win the second one-day international between the two nations at the Kia Oval this afternoon.

Opener Shane Watson got the touring Aussies off to a positive start with a knock of 66 runs before he was caught by Steven Finn off the bowling of spinner Graeme Swann.

However, as Watson's innings progressed, his partners gave up their wickets cheaply.

It wasn't until the introduction of 29-year-old George Bailey that Australia's innings got back on track. The number five batsman contributed 65 runs before he was bowled by Tim Bresnan.

A combination of David Hussey, who scored 29 before he was run out by Finn, and Brett Lee (20 not out) helped Australia reach the competitive total of 251 on what is considered to be a favourable batting pitch.

Lee's innings should have ended earlier when his lofted shot off the bowling of Jade Dernbach was dropped by Eoin Morgan in the deep.
