Stuart Broad has admitted that he is excited to see Middlesex batsman Sam Robson display his talents at Test level next week.
Robson was included in the England squad to face Sri Lanka in a two-match series, and Broad believes that the 24-year-old's reputation proves that he is ready to partner Alastair Cook at the top of the batting order.
"Just speaking to my Nottinghamshire teammates over the last couple of weeks they seem to believe that Sam, along with Ed Joyce, are the best players in county cricket that they've bowled to," the bowler told Sky Sports News.
"That's a huge testament to Sam and proves that he's a very talented player.
"I've not played against him. I've only met him very briefly at Loughborough University but I'm looking forward to watching him bat against Sri Lanka on Thursday or Friday."
The series begins at Lord's on Thursday.
