Moeen Ali is looking forward to making his England debut after being selected for the World Twenty20 squad and to tour the West Indies this winter.
The 26-year-old all-rounder was called by James Whittaker and has since struggled to hide his delight, but is keen to make a positive impact.
He told ECB.co.uk: "Obviously you cannot describe how you feel. It was a good feeling and I cannot wait to get out there.
"I think I can add a bit of variety; a bit of batting, bowling and fielding. I do all three dimensions of the game.
"We obviously want success as a team at the World Cup. In the West Indies, I just want to get used to the setup and play a few games."
England travel to Caribbean later this month.
