England coach Peter Moores suggests that Jonathan Trott will keep his place at the top of the order in the third Test against the West Indies.

England coach Peter Moores has hinted that Jonathan Trott will be given another chance to impress at the top of the order against the West Indies in the third Test.

Trott scored 59 in the first innings before registering his second duck of the series in the run-chase as the tourists claimed a nine-wicket win in Grenada on Saturday, but Moores has suggested that he is unlikely to be replaced by Yorkshire opener Adam Lyth.

"I think Jonathan Trott played really well first innings, I think he played beautifully. The first Test match back is tough for anybody because he has worked extremely hard to get there and performed well for the Lions to get his chance," he told Sky Sports News.

"In this Test match, he played very well first innings and then got out early in the second innings which can happen to anybody. He was a bit unlucky with the inside edge but I think he will come away from the match thinking he had got his game in good order.

"That's good for us going to Barbados because it means we have got players playing well and we have got some tough decisions to make."

A series victory will be clinched if England avoid defeat in the third Test, which begins in Bridgetown on Friday.
