Durham bowler Graham Onions has admitted that he is "desperate" to get back in the England team ahead of the upcoming Ashes series against Australia.
The 30-year-old last played in a Test match for the Three Lions in 2012 against the West Indies but has been in great form for his county this season with the ball taking 25 wickets.
Onions told The Journal: "Of course I think about it, I'm desperate to play for England. I think if I'm being honest, the call obviously hasn't come and I'm not sure how far I am down the order.
"You'd have to speak to some of the guys at England about that but I'm desperate to play and I want to play well for Durham and I'll do as well as I possibly can. If that call did come it would be fantastic."
Onions has played nine Tests for England and has taken 32 wickets.
