England captain Andrew Strauss has backed James Taylor to be a success at international level.
The 22-year-old has been selected in England's starting lineup for the second Test match with South Africa and Strauss believes that Taylor can handle the pressure of international cricket.
Strauss said: "For a young guy, he looks very organised and knows his game very well. His temperament looks very solid. He has come into the Lions and has always performed when he has played.
"He is a good character. You can see by the way he holds himself that he has quite an old head on young shoulders."
England go into the match needing to avoid defeat to keep the series alive and avoid losing the world number one Test ranking.
