India have moved closer to victory over England in their second Test meeting after bowling out their opponents for 255 runs on day three.

The tourists could only reach the paltry tally from their first innings, having again stuttered after seeing their momentum slip away during the second day in Visakhapatnam.

Ravichandran Ashwin took 5-67 to push England closer to defeat, with Ben Stokes making 70 and Jonny Bairstow racking up 53 of his own in a sixth-wicket partnership of 100, but they lost their last four wickets for just 30 runs to face a first-innings deficit of 200 runs.

Virat Kohli helped India to take further control after seeing his side initially reduced to 40-3, with Murali Vijay (3), Lokesh Rahul (1) and Cheteshwar Pujara (1) the men to fall early on.

Kohli reached an unbeaten 51 by the close of play, however, leaving India on 98-3 and 298 runs ahead of England as they close in on taking the lead in the series.
