Essex's Graham Napier has confirmed that he will retire at the end of the 2016 season.
The 36-year-old, who has made 467 appearances for the Chelmsford-based outfit since his debut in 1997, will become director of the Graham Napier Cricket Academy, which will launch in September.
"I feel the time is right to move on and give back to the game that has given me so much," he told the club's official website.
"I have loved every second of playing for Essex and will be doing my best to make sure I retire with a bang at the end of the season."
The all-rounder was an unused member of the 2009 England World Twenty20 squad.
