Leicestershire Foxes are reportedly in discussions to sign Umar Akmal for part of this year's T20 Blast.
The middle-order batsman has played in 16 Tests and 111 one-day internationals for Pakistan.
It is believed that the Grace Road outfit are eager to sign up some cover for Grant Elliott while he is on international duty with New Zealand, according to BBC Sport.
The Foxes begin their T20 Blast campaign against Derbyshire on Friday, May 22.
