The Netherlands score a record low 39 runs during a Twenty20 World Cup encounter against Sri Lanka.

The Netherlands recorded a lowest ever Twenty20 international score of 39 runs during their World Cup clash with Sri Lanka this afternoon.

The previous smallest total was set by Kenya back in September 2013 against Afghanistan, when they posted a total of 56.

However, just one Dutch player, Tom Cooper, reached double figures as they were bowled out in Chittagong after just 10.3 overs.

In terms of the Sri Lanka bowlers, Ajantha Mendis and Angelo Matthews claimed three wickets apiece.
