Team Australia cyclist Annette Edmondson has set her sights on 'keeping up' with younger brother Alex Edmondson in the medals table at the Commonwealth Games.

Alex secured gold for the Aussies in the 4000m team pursuit last night as they comfortably beat an England team including Sir Bradley Wiggins by more than five seconds.

Annette will have a chance to pick up a gold of her own this afternoon, having produced a stunning time to reach the 3000m individual pursuit final at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome and keep up Australia's fine form on the track so far in Glasgow.

"It's been pretty amazing, especially as my little brother was in the team pursuit last night. He's got one gold so I've got to try to keep up with him and take home the gold tonight," the 22-year-old told Sports Mole.

Edmondson will face Joanna Rowsell in the final after the English rider broke the Commonwealth Games record in qualifying.
