Team Australia rider Annette Edmondson has hailed the "amazing" atmosphere inside the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.
Competitors from all nations have been given a rousing reception at the cycling venue, although unsurprisingly the loudest cheers have been reserved for the Scottish team.
Edmondson, who qualified for the final of the 3000m individual pursuit earlier today courtesy of a superb time of 3:30.728, is part-Scottish herself and revealed her delight at racing in the country.
"[The venue] is pretty amazing. It's nice to be racing in Scotland - my mum is actually Scottish so I've got a little bit of Scotland behind me I guess. I'm just pretending that they're going for me!" she told Sports Mole.
England's Joanna Rowsell awaits Edmondson in the final this afternoon, having set a new Commonwealth Games record in qualifying for the gold medal race.
