Jonny Clayton has recorded a 6-1 victory over James Wade to win week eight of the Premier League in Birmingham.
Despite having gone five weeks without reaching a final, the Welshman went into Thursday's action sitting in third position in the table.
However, by the end of the night, Clayton had won his second event, recording victories over Michael Smith, Peter Wright and Wade for the lost of just six legs.
Clayton saved his best performance of the evening for the final, averaging a sensational 111.16 in cruising to success against Wade, who is runner-up for the second time this tournament.
Earlier in the night, the left-hander had thrashed Michael van Gerwen and Joe Cullen, prevailing by 6-2 scorelines in each encounter.
Cullen had previously dispatched of Gerwyn Price, who played with a fractured hand, while Gary Anderson was on the receiving end of a 6-5 defeat to Wright in the quarter-finals.
