Simon Whitlock has admitted that his emotions were running high towards the end of his dramatic win over Ian White at the PDC World Championship on Saturday night.
Whitlock lost a 4-1 lead before going on to beat the Stoke-on-Trent thrower 5-4 to book his place in the semi-finals at the Alexandra Palace.
"I actually had a tear in my eye," the Australian told Sky Sports News. "That match meant so much to me.
"I thought about previous matches I lost after leading and I'm so relived that I won now."
Whitlock reached the final at Ally Pally in 2010 and he will repeat that feat if he overcomes Peter Wright on Monday.
