Meanwhile, the Red Devils will head to the capital with hopes of claiming a fifth consecutive victory in the top flight.

Match preview

Preview: Spurs vs. Man Utd - prediction, team news, lineups

Tottenham have put together a four-game unbeaten league run since losing 3-0 to rivals Arsenal in November's North London derby.

They kicked off their impressive form with a 2-1 home win against Everton, before they played out a 1-1 draw in their away meeting with Brighton & Hove Albion in their final WSL outing of 2024.

After kicking off the calendar year with a 1-0 win over Leicester City, Tottenham went on to enjoy another successful outing in last Sunday's away clash against Crystal Palace, with Olivia Holdt netting a 95th-minute winner after Palace had fought back from two goals down following a first-half brace from Beth England.

Unfortunately for Spurs, they followed that 3-2 success with a 2-0 defeat in Wednesday's Women's FA Cup tie against Everton, ensuring that there will be no repeat of last season's run to the final.

Robert Vilahamn will be challenging his side to produce a positive response in Sunday's fixture, with the hosts looking to claim three consecutive WSL home victories for the first time since the 2020-21 season.

Preview: Spurs vs. Man Utd - prediction, team news, lineups

While Spurs are sitting in seventh place, Man United will head into matchday 13 in second position after winning eight, drawing three and losing one of their 12 league matches.

The Red Devils have embarked on a four-game winning league run since they suffered their only WSL defeat of the season in November's away meeting with leaders Chelsea.

Marc Skinner's side recorded league wins over Liverpool, Crystal Palace and rivals Manchester City, before they eased to a comfortable victory in last weekend's home meeting with Brighton.

Ella Toone, Hinata Miyazawa and Celine Bizet all got on the scoresheet to fire the Red Devils to a dominant 3-0 win at Leigh Sports Village, ensuring that they are one of three teams yet to lose a home WSL game this season.

Man United will now head on their travels with hopes of completing a league double over Tottenham after cruising to a 3-0 home victory when the two sides last met in October.

The visitors will certainly take confidence from the fact that they have won their last two away WSL meetings with Tottenham, including a sizeable 4-0 victory in their most recent away encounter in December 2023.

Team News

Tottenham will be without Kit Graham, Ella Morris and Eveliina Summanen, while Drew Spence is a doubt after missing the last two matches.

Defender Shuang Wang has completed a move to Wuhan Chegu Jiangda WFC, departing the club after making just 11 competitive appearances.

January additions Lize Kop and Josefine Rybrink will both be available for selection after being ineligible to feature in the midweek cup fixture.

As for the visitors, Lisa Naalsund and Evie Rabjohn are both sidelined through injury, while Brazilian forward Geyse is on compassionate leave.

Skinner could be tempted to select the same lineup that started last Sunday's commanding 3-0 victory over Brighton.

Toone will be looking to continue her impressive run of form after scoring five goals in her last four competitive appearances.

Tottenham Hotspur Women possible starting lineup:
Kop; Neville, Hunt, Bartrip, Nilden; Csiki, Oroz; Raso, Thomas, Vinberg; England

Manchester United Women possible starting lineup:
Tullis-Joyce; Riviere, Le Tissier, Turner, George; Miyazawa, Janssen; Bizet, Toone, Galton; Terland

We say: Tottenham Hotspur Women 1-2 Manchester United Women

Man United eased to a 3-0 victory when they faced Tottenham in October's WSL home clash, and while we think that they will face a tougher test in Sunday's away fixture, we believe that the second-placed side will have the extra quality required to claim a narrow win.
