British wheelchair racer Hannah Cockroft has earned her fifth IPC World Championships gold medal following a record-breaking victory in the T34 100m final in Doha.
The 23-year-old, who won double gold at the London Paralympics three years ago, stormed through the field in lane seven to set a new Championship record of 17.73s.
There were doubts over Cockroft's form heading into the event as her seven-year unbeaten run came to an end following defeat to 14-year-old compatriot Kare Adenegan in the 400m race at a recent meet.
The Brit has now won the T34 100m event for a third consecutive time at a World Championships.
