AC Milan have confirmed that forward Jeremy Menez is facing a spell on the sidelines after suffering a recurrence of a thigh injury.
The 27-year-old was absent from training on Wednesday and is expected to undergo further tests.
Menez has scored three goals in six games for Milan this season following a summer move from Paris Saint-Germain.
"AC Milan announce that Jeremy Menez is suffering from a problem in his right adductor muscle," read a statement on the club's official website. "The player will undergo further tests over the next few days."
Milan are back in Serie A action on October 19 when they travel to Hellas Verona.
