Massimiliano Allegri has declared his surprise after being handed a one-match touchline ban for his conduct towards the referee during AC Milan's clash with Udinese.
Kevin-Prince Boateng and Christian Zapata were both sent off as Milan suffered a 2-1 defeat against Udinese.
Allegri said: "I am surprised, I didn't do anything, we will appeal."
Milan have endured a disappointing start to the season, winning just one of their opening four matches in Serie A to put Allegri's position as coach under threat.
