AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri has insisted that he is proud of his side's hard-fought point at Palermo and thinks that his team can build on a positive result.
Allegri's men trailed by two goals but staged a second-half comeback thanks to goals from Riccardo Montolivo and the prolific Stephan El Shaarawy.
Milan have endured a turbulent start to the season but Allegri believes that the spirit in the squad cannot be questioned.
He told the club's official website: "It was a good comeback and we could have won.
"We could have done better in the second half but the substitutes changed the game for us.
"The players are very good at understanding exactly what's asked of them. I'm sorry for the players that they didn't win but a draw is acceptable tonight."
Milan are back in action this weekend when they host relegation-threatened Chievo at the San Siro.
