Massimiliano Allegri admits that the race for the Serie A title is wide open.

AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri has admitted that the race for the Serie A title is wide open after losing to Fiorentina.

Allegri, whose side also dropped points at Calcio Catania a week ago, have now slipped to second place in Serie A – one point behind Juventus – with just seven games remaining this season.

"We have to accept this result," he tolds reporters.

"It has not been a great week, but we have to bounce back in the knowledge that there are still lots of games remaining. [The title race] remains wide open."

Meanwhile, Milan were eliminated from the Champions League in Barcelona earlier this week.
