AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso has returned to training with the Italian club.
The 34-year-old has made just a single league appearance for Milan this season, after being struck down with ocular myasthenia, a disease of the neuromuscular junction.
The illness, caused by influenza, is understood to have been contracted during the team's recent trip to Dubai.
"Rino Gattuso, whose health has been steadily improving, joined the rest of his teammates for today's training session," read the club statement.
It is not yet clear when Gattuso could return to competitive action.
