AC Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi has praised his players for their improved performance during Saturday's pre-season defeat to Liverpool.
The Italians had shipped eight goals in their previous two matches on their tour of the USA before going down 2-0 to the Merseysiders in Charlotte.
Despite losing a third consecutive match over in America, Inzaghi is pleased with what he saw from his players.
"It's a shame about the undeserved 2-0 defeat, but this was the response I was looking for," he told Milan's official website.
"It was a good reaction, I am happy with my lads and do not remember our goalkeeper making a save, whereas Simon Mignolet was called into action.
"We must continue with this spirit and this desire. I can only tell my lads to continue along this path, then once the season begins our true value will emerge."
Milan return to action on Wednesday when they face Chivas in Houston.
