AC Milan forward Giampaolo Pazzini has said that his team made too many mistakes during their defeat against Udinese in Serie A on Saturday evening.
The Rossoneri were beaten 1-0 at the Stadio Friuli in Udine and lost further ground on a Europa league qualification spot, and Pazzini is eager for them to return to form in the Champions League against Atletico Madrid in midweek.
"It's disappointing, we wanted to play a different match to that," he told the club's official website. "We made lots of errors, we weren't organised, we wasted chances and we allowed them to attack on the counter. In one of those we were punished.
"We tried until the very end. Luckily we have the game of the season on Tuesday. We have to now give everything we've got in Madrid. Today wasn't a good match, but luckily we can get back on track against Atletico.
"Clearly the international friendlies didn't help us. For the first-leg we had 5 days to prepare for the Atletico match, and it was a different matter altogether. The fixture list hasn't been kind to us recently."
Milan visit Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday, before returning to league action against Parma next Sunday.
