Venezia vs. AC Milan (Sunday, 11.30am)

Seeking a return to the Serie A summit, AC Milan visit Venezia in Sunday's early kickoff knowing a win would at least temporarily lift them above their closest rivals at the top.

Following a 3-1 defeat of Roma on their comeback from the winter break, the Rossoneri are aiming to affirm their Scudetto credentials, while their hosts have been sidelined since December due to the cancellation of their midweek fixture.

We say: Venezia 1-2 AC Milan

Though virus-stricken Milan may be undermanned in certain areas - particularly defence - their hosts have conceded goals at a rate of nearly two per game on home soil this season, so are vulnerable to the Rossoneri's rapid counter-attacks.

Another Venezia defeat will leave them teetering above the drop zone, while Pioli and company are set to stride on in pursuit of that elusive 19th Scudetto.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Empoli vs. Sassuolo (Sunday, 1.30pm)

Sunday's long list of Serie A action includes a mid-table clash between Empoli and Sassuolo at the Carlo Castellani.

The hosts will be looking to recover from their heart-breaking draw when they returned to action on Thursday, whilst the visitors will be hoping to finally turn some draws into wins following another last time out.

We say: Empoli 2-2 Sassuolo

These two sides appear very evenly matched heading into this encounter, demonstrated by their positions in the table and form in their previous matches too.

With both teams leaky in defence but clinical in front of goal as well, this one could be an entertaining clash with plenty of goals, so we are predicting a score draw.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Napoli vs. Sampdoria (Sunday, 3.30pm)

Napoli's pursuit of a first Serie A title since 1989-90 will continue when they welcome Sampdoria to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The hosts will be desperate to prevent both Inter and AC Milan from pulling away at the top of the Serie A table.

We say: Napoli 2-0 Sampdoria

After a blistering start to the campaign, Napoli have tailed off in trademark fashion, with a title challenge slipping out of their grasp.

If they wish to lift the Scudetto come the end of the season, it is victories against mid-table outfits like Sampdoria that they need to win, with Napoli likely to get the job done on Sunday.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Genoa vs. Spezia (Sunday, 5.30pm)

In what is shaping up to be a crucial clash at the bottom of the Serie A table, Genoa will welcome the visit of Spezia Calcio.

Genoa begin the weekend in the drop zone, but can move within one point of 17th-placed Spezia with a victory on Sunday afternoon.

We say: Genoa 1-1 Spezia

Neither side can afford to drop any points against their relegation rivals, with a tight contest expected on Sunday afternoon.

Without much in the way to separate the two sides, expect the shares to be spoiled in this crucial relegation clash.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Roma vs. Juventus (Sunday, 5.30pm)

Two teams battling for a top four finish convene at Stadio Olimpico on Sunday, as Roma host Juventus, who sit just three points and two places above them in the Serie A standings.

While the Giallorossi slipped to seventh following their defeat to Milan upon Calcio's midweek resumption, Juve stayed on the coat-tails of the Champions League contenders after coming from behind to draw with Napoli.

We say: Roma 0-1 Juventus

There may not be many goals in this encounter at the Olimpico, as Juve are focusing on keeping things solid and hoping for inspiration to strike in this latest phase of Max Allegri's management.

A makeshift defence may creak here and there, but the visitors managed to hold Napoli to a draw in midweek and can go one better by beating Roma for the third time in succession.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Hellas Verona vs. Salernitana (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Salernitana will continue their desperate attempt to escape relegation from Serie A when they visit mid-table Hellas Verona on Sunday afternoon.

The visitors begin the weekend rock bottom of the division, whilst Verona will be eyeing up a push for the European places in the second half of the season.

We say: Hellas Verona 2-1 Salernitana

Time is running out for Salernitana to rescue their campaign, with each passing week seeing them drift further away from safety.

There will no doubt be opportunities for the visitors this weekend, but Verona should have enough to secure the three points.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Inter Milan vs. Lazio (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Serie A leaders Inter Milan will seek to start 2022 in the same manner as last year ended, as they welcome gloriously inconsistent Lazio to San Siro on Sunday.

Following a false start in midweek, when their opening game of the season's second half was cancelled at short notice, the Nerazzurri aim to extend a seven-match winning streak at the expense of coach Simone Inzaghi's former club.

We say: Inter Milan 3-1 Lazio

Free-scoring Inter are strong favourites to belatedly start 2022 in familiar style, as withstanding their attacking width and midfield guile should prove beyond leaky Lazio's capabilities.

Unbeaten in their 11 league fixtures since losing the reverse fixture nearly three months ago, the champions can brush off any early rustiness and continue their positive momentum as if they were never away.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.
