Former AC Milan striker Filippo Inzaghi has retired from professional football to take up a coaching role at the San Siro.
The 38-year-old, who had been linked with a move to Reading, was available on a free transfer after his playing contract with Milan expired in June.
However, a statement released by the club has confirmed that the Italian will take up a youth coaching role at the Serie A outfit.
Inzaghi's contract will run until 2014.
