Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of AC Milan defender Thiago Silva.
The 27-year-old Brazilian is understood to have joined the Ligue club on a five-year deal for around €42m (£33m), a fee that would make him the most expensive defender in history.
The centre-back was expected to have been followed to the Parc des Princes by teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but a move has not yet been sealed for the Swede.
Milan president Silvio Berlusconi had claimed earlier this week that a deal had been agreed for both players.
Silva arrived at the San Siro from Fluminense in 2009 for around £8m.
