Former AC Milan star Dejan Savicevic has claimed that he advised his old club to sign Fiorentina attacker Stevan Jovetic.
Fiorentina secured the 22-year-old in 2008, but the former Rossoneri attacker has insisted that the forward could have ended up at the San Siro.
"Six years ago I advised director Ariedo Braida to buy him for Milan. He can play for any club in the world. He's demonstrated some great qualities. Just think back to what he's done over the years," he told TMW.
"Do you remember the game against Liverpool in the Champions League? We are talking about a great talent. His future will depend on what Fiorentina decide to do on the transfer market."
Jovetic has 20 international caps for Montenegro.
