ADO Den Haag and SBV Excelsior shared four first-half goals in a 2-2 Eredivisie draw this evening.
The visitors to The Hague went two up but were pegged back before the break as strikes from Mike van Duinen and Gianni Zuiverloon earned Den Haag a point.
Midfielder Luigi Bruins gave Excelsior a 13th-minute lead as he rolled the ball into the net following a layoff from striker Jordan Botaka.
Ninos Gouriye, starting for only the second time during a season in which he has made 10 substitute appearances, began a sequence of three goals in six minutes when he doubled Excelsior's advantage.
Den Haag reduced the deficit when Roland Alberg crossed for Van Duinen to convert on 36 minutes, and former West Bromwich Albion right-back Zuiverloon quickly levelled things prior to the interval courtesy of an assist from 11-goal top scorer Michiel Kramer.
Both sides pushed for a winner in the second half, but had to be content with a point apiece, which keeps 14th-placed Excelsior waiting for a first away win of the campaign, but two spots above their opponents.
