Ajax have moved up to second in the Eredivisie table with a 5-2 victory over NAC Breda this evening.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 27th minute when Ricardo van Rhijn's curling effort missed everyone in the box and found the bottom corner.
They doubled their lead three minutes later as Kolbeinn Sigthorsson turned home Thulani Serero's cross.
Sigthorsson then scored his second of the match when he was played into the box, before slipping an effort past the keeper at the near post.
After the break, Sigthorsson had the chance to complete his hat-trick, but the forward missed the target from the spot.
Stipe Perica pulled a goal back for the hosts on the hour-mark, but Ajax grabbed their fourth of the game five minutes later when Joel Veltman found the net following a corner.
Perica grabbed his second goal for Breda in the 76th minute, but it was the visitors who had the last word, as with a minute left to play Sigthorsson fired through the keeper's legs to seal his hat-trick.
