Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's Scottish League Cup action as Raith Rovers and Greenock Morton storm into the second round of the competition.

Raith Rovers have stormed into the second round of the Scottish League Cup after they eased past Albion Rovers at Stark's Park.

An early penalty from Lewis Vaughan broke the deadlock for the home side, with Kyle Benedictus and Rory McKeown rounding off the scoring.

Greenock Morton also cruised into the next round with an emphatic 5-0 victory over Elgin City.

Derek Lyle scored a 100th minute winner in extra time against Annan Athletic, after Dale Hilson's late equaliser rescued the tie for Queen of the South.

Goals in each half from Gerry McLaughlan and Patrick Boyle helped Ayr United see out Brechin City in their first-round tie.

David Banjo scored the winner in extra time as Berwick Rangers ran out 3-2 winners over Alloa Athletic.

Dunfermline Athletic overcame 10-man Cowdenbeath with a 5-1 victory, as the visitors saw Michael Andrews receive a straight red card for a professional foul.

East Fife won a dramatic penalty shootout 4-3 against Dumbarton, after the visitors missed their last three penalties which would have guaranteed them a place in the next round.

Hibernian booked their place in the next round after they ran out 3-0 winners over Montrose.

Derek Young and Danny Denholm both got their names on the scoresheet as Forfar Athletic beat Queen's Park away from home.

Jordan Morton's first-half strike was enough to see Airdrieonians pick up a win against Stirling Albion at the Forthbank Stadium.

Stranraer scored a late goal to double their tally and edge past Stenhousemuir, booking themselves into the next round.

Jordan White sent Livingston through to the second round, as he scored in extra time to make it 1-0 against Clyde.
