Sergio Aguero has insisted that Argentina are happy to be World Cup final underdogs as all of the pressure will be on opponents Germany at the Maracana on Sunday.
Joachim Low's side have been installed as 8/11 favourites to lift the trophy for the fourth time following their remarkable thrashing of hosts Brazil in the last four.
Argentina, meanwhile, needed a penalty shootout to overcome Netherlands in their semi-final and are perceived to have a disadvantage heading to Rio de Janeiro as they have had one fewer day of rest and had to go through 120 minutes in their previous outing.
"Germany were always the favourites, along with Brazil, to win the World Cup," he told reporters.
"They continue to be so now. We need to play our own game and it suits us that all the pressure is on them."
Aguero's manager Alejandro Sabella has also claimed that Germany are the favourites to win the World Cup.
