Arminia Bielefeld are through to the semi-final of the DFB-Pokal semi-finals after a 5-4 penalty-shootout victory over Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday evening.
The two teams played out a 1-1 draw in normal time, but couldn't be separated with an extra half-hour. Raffael missed the crucial spot kick for Monchengladbach as the home side pulled off a shock result.
Manuel Junglas gave Bielefled the lead before the half-hour mark before Max Kruse responded from the penalty spot on 32 minutes.
Fabian Klos had a great chance to give the home side the win deep into extra time, but he somehow missed the target to set up the shootout.
However, the 2. Bundesliga side prevailed to send them into the last four.
