Fenerbahce and Arsenal have been unable to produce a goal in the first 45 minutes of their Champions League playoff first leg.
It was a rather cagey first half, with the first real effort on goal not coming until the 22nd minute, when Olivier Giroud latched onto Tomas Rosicky's cross but shooting wide on the turn.
The atmosphere was dampened by the pedestrian action, and in somewhat familiar circumstances whistles could be heard ringing around the Sukru Saracoglu as they had the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Late pressure from Arsenal nearly forced a goal just before the break, but Aaron Ramsey and Theo Walcott were both denied by last-ditch blocks inside the area, before Michal Kadlec cleared the danger.
