Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has claimed that Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski's performances have been "on another level" this season.
The Poland international has already struck 22 goals for club and country this term, and Ferdinand has talked up the ability of the ex-Borussia Dortmund forward ahead of Bayern's trip to Arsenal in the Champions League on Tuesday.
"This guy scores every type of goal," Ferdinand told BT Sport. "He's got some similar traits to the old fashioned type of English striker. He's physical and he doesn't mind the rough stuff but his technique is world class. He is on another level.
"This guy can put it in the net any which way you want it done. He is a defender's nightmare. He's the type of player who you might think, 'you know what I'm going to hit him' but he doesn't mind that, he likes it.
"You give him one yard of space or a slight chance and he'll put it in the back of the net."
Lewandowski has scored 41 goals in 42 games in 2015.
