Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud is looking forward to playing in the Champions League for the first time in his career.
The French striker is hoping to feature in the Gunners' Group B opener against his old club Montpellier on Tuesday.
"It is always important to play in the Champions League to continue your progression as a footballer," the 25-year-old told Arsenal's official website.
"I'm looking forward to play against very good teams and to having the experience of the Champions League with Arsenal.
"I have found my first months at Arsenal good. I think the team have played well. I am confident that the season will be good."
The other game in the group on Tuesday will see Olympiakos host Schalke.
