Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has declared that he is capable of maintaining his fine start to the campaign and mounting a challenge to be the Premier League's top scorer.
Giroud has scored the opening goal in each of Arsenal's first four league games this season, including an early strike in Saturday's 3-1 win over Sunderland.
He told The Mirror: "With this team I can score many goals. Can I finish the league's top scorer? I must have a chance."
Despite coming off against Sunderland late on nursing a knock, Giroud has insisted that a minor ankle problem will not prevent him from featuring in Wednesday's clash with Marseille in the Champions League.
He said: "It is not bad. I twisted my ankle but, fortunately, it is nothing major. Marseille? Yes, I am okay, I will be fine."
Arsene Wenger's side are currently top of the Premier League after winning three consecutive matches.
