Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that Lukas Podolski is close to his best form following the German's impressive display in the 4-1 win over Champions League rivals Galatasaray.
Podolski has been repeatedly linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium due to his struggles to secure regular minutes, but Wenger believes that the forward can achieve success in a rotation policy.
"It is competition for places that is difficult," the Gunners boss told the club's official website. "I had [Danny] Welbeck, [Alexis] Sanchez and [Olivier] Giroud at home and you can only play a certain number of strikers.
"He came back later from the World Cup but he is now coming back to a very strong level."
Despite the win in Turkey, Arsenal were forced to settle for second place in Group D as Borussia Dortmund secured top spot with a 1-1 draw against Anderlecht.
