Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that he is confident Danny Welbeck can lead the line in Thursday's Europa League last-32 first leg against Ostersunds FK.
The former Manchester United forward is the club's only realistic option given that Alexandre Lacazette is nursing a knee injury and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is cup-tied.
During his pre-match press conference, Wenger said: "It's an opportunity for him to do well. I have seen today he is sharper than a long time.
"He had to wait a little to get back into the team, but that gave him time to work on his fitness. He looks sharper than he has in a long time - he looks very sharp."
Arsenal are under pressure to respond to last weekend's 1-0 defeat to arch rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
