Arsene Wenger has no doubt that Theo Walcott will gradually rediscover his best form after enduring a mixed return to Arsenal's first XI in Sunday's 2-0 FA Cup win over Hull City.
Walcott made his first start for the Gunners in precisely a year after injuries blighted the 25-year-old's 2014.
The England ace missed a couple of goalscoring chances throughout his 75-minute shift against the Tigers in what was a repeat of last season's final.
"There were some positive signs because he was dangerous," he told the club's official website.
"You could see that he has not lost the quality of his runs and he looked dangerous. He lacks a little bit of competition and is not used to challenges but that will come.
"He has been out for a year. For what he has done after being out for a year, it's quite positive."
Goals from Per Mertesacker and Alexis Sanchez helped the North Londoners progress into the fourth round.
