How Arsenal could line up against Liverpool

Ahead of Saturday's Premier League game between Liverpool and Arsenal, Sports Mole looks at how the visitors could line up at Anfield.

Arsenal make the trip to Anfield to face Liverpool having begun their Premier League campaign with two successive victories.

While the Gunners have not necessarily been spectacular in wins over Newcastle United and Burnley, Unai Emery will be delighted that his team have come through two tight contests with maximum points.

Emery must now decide whether to keep faith with the younger players in his side, aware of the threat that Liverpool pose in front of their own supporters.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how the North Londoners could line up for the showdown in the North-West.

Out: Hector Bellerin (knee), Rob Holding (knee), Kieran Tierney (groin), Konstantinos Mavropanos (groin)
Doubtful: Granit Xhaka (bruising), Mesut Ozil (lack of fitness)

Having been given the second half against the Clarets last weekend, Nicolas Pepe should come into the team for his first start since joining from Lille.

Arsenal should also be boosted by the return of Granit Xhaka from a minor injury, meaning that both Joe Willock and Reiss Nelson could both drop down to the substitutes' bench.

If, as expected, Xhaka is restored to the side, Dani Ceballos will likely be used as the most advanced of a midfield three after his man-of-the-match showing versus Burnley.

While the backline should stay the same, Emery must decide whether to include each of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in his starting lineup.

The latter appears to be the most likely to make way, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan to come in on the flank ahead of Mesut Ozil given the German's lack of match fitness.
