Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League showdown with Liverpool.

After winning their first two league games of the season for the first time in 10 years, Arsenal's next fixture will see them travel to European champions Liverpool.

Gunners boss Unai Emery gave first starts to new signings Dani Ceballos and David Luiz against Burnley, with the Spanish midfielder leaving the Emirates to a standing ovation after an excellent performance.

Although there are still a number of players on the treatment table for the North London side, Saturday's game did see Sead Kolasinac return to action after the recent police investigation regarding an attack on him and teammate Mesut Ozil last month.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of next weekend's trip to Anfield.

Mesut Ozil

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Lacking match fitness
Possible return date: August 24 (vs. Liverpool)

Ozil has missed the Gunners' opening two games of the season owing both to the police investigation and a lack of full match fitness. An update on his availability is expected later this week.

Hector Bellerin

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: October 21 (vs. Sheffield United)

Bellerin is still making good progress with the knee injury he suffered at the start of this year and is expected to return to full training in October.

Rob Holding

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Holding played 63 minutes in the week for the Arsenal Under-23 side against Blackburn and is now back training with the first team, although he is still lacking full match fitness.

Konstantinos Mavropanos

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: October 21 (vs. Sheffield United)

Greek defender Mavropanos is expected to be out for at least another six weeks as he recovers from a groin injury.

Granit Xhaka

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Lower Back
Possible return date: August 24 (vs. Liverpool)

Swiss midfielder Xhaka missed the game with Burnley with bruising to his lower back and leg, but is expected to be assessed again before the trip to Merseyside.

Kieran Tierney

Status: Out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: October 21 (vs. Sheffield United)

Summer signing Tierney is making good progress on the groin injury he suffered whilst at Celtic and is expected to return to first-team training in October.
