Arsenal will be looking to pick themselves up after a false start in their first game back from the coronavirus pandemic when they travel to the Amex Stadium to take on Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
Mikel Arteta's side were outclassed by Manchester City at the Etihad, slumping to a 3-0 defeat complete with a David Luiz horror-show which saw him commit a mistake leading directly to a goal, concede a penalty and be sent off during a disastrous 25-minute cameo off the bench.
The defeat - Arsenal's first in the league of 2020 - leaves the Gunners still eight points adrift of the top four, but they will hope to get back to winning ways against a relegation-threatened Brighton side.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up their latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.
Granit Xhaka
Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown
Arsenal's return to action got off to a dreadful start when Granit Xhaka was stretchered off within seven minutes following an ankle injury. The extent of the problem has not yet been confirmed by the club, but he will miss Saturday's match at the very least.
Pablo Mari
Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown
Pablo Mari was also forced off with an ankle injury in the first half at the Etihad and, while his did not look as serious as Xhaka's, it would be a surprise to see him recover in time for Saturday.
Sokratis Papastathopoulos
Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: June 20 (vs. Brighton)
Sokratis was ruled out of Wednesday's match with an unspecified knock he picked up in training, but he could be back in contention this weekend.
Lucas Torreira
Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: June 20 (vs. Brighton)
Lucas Torreira was not involved against Man City but is not thought to be too far away from returning from his fractured ankle and could be in contention for Saturday's trip to the Amex.
Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown
While a number of players were able to recover from injuries during lockdown, Calum Chambers will still miss the remainder of the season having sustained knee ligament damage at the end of last year.
Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Facial
Possible return date: June 20 (vs. Brighton)
Still yet to make his debut for the club, Cedric Soares has recovered from the injury which initially sidelined him following his loan move from Southampton but is now nursing a broken nose he sustained during a practice match.
ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST
David Luiz
Possible return date: Unknown
David Luiz's error-strewn cameo against Man City could end up being his final Premier League game for the club. The red card means that he is banned for the next two games, while his contract is due to expire on June 30.
