Having sustained a neck problem during training, Luiz is now regarded as a major doubt for the weekend. Reports have suggested that the Brazilian's participation is dependent on how he responds to treatment in the coming days.

While it has been suggested that Mustafi will not make a return from a thigh injury until October, Arteta recently revealed that the Germany international had stepped up his rehabilitation after being given permission to stop using crutches.

Martinelli underwent knee surgery earlier this summer, subsequently ruling him out in the long term. As it stands, Arteta expects the Brazilian to return to training before the end of 2020.
